Christian Bartelheimer is an assistant professor at the University of Goettingen, Germany. His research centers on the design, implementation, and evaluation of innovative information systems to facilitate digital service and process innovations. Additionally, he explores the impacts of deploying cutting-edge IT artifacts on individuals, structures, and processes within organizations. He is the current president of the Special Interest Group for Services (SIG SVC) within the Association for Information Systems (AIS), an associate editor in the Business Process Management department at Business & Information Systems Engineering, and editor of the topical collection for Digital Transformation and Service in Electronic Markets. Inge van de Weerd is an associate professor in the Process Science group at Utrecht University. Her research focuses on the intersection of IT and organizations. Her research interests include workaround mining, process drift, and robotic process automation. Amongst others, her work has been published in the proceedings of the BPM, Process Mining, ECIS, and ICIS conferences, and in the journals of Business & Information Systems Engineering, Computers in Industry, and Information & Management. Before joining the Process Science group, she held positions at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Utrecht University where she also received her PhD.
Brian T. Pentland is the Main Street Capital Corporation Intellectual Capital Endowed Professor in the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. His research is focused on the analysis of repetitive patterns of action, such as organizational routines. He has used this perspective to study software support, auditing, invoice processing, customer service and electronic medical record keeping. He received his PhD in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1991.
